Park festival, Djerdap 2008 |

In the period between June 19 and June 22, 2008, the ninth Park festival –sports and entertainment meeting of representatives of protected natural assets from Serbia and Republika Srpska. The host of this year’s festival was National Park Djerdap.
Besides the host’s representatives, The park festival was attended by representatives from the following national parks: NP Tara, NP Fruška Gora, NP Kopaonik from Serbia and NP Kozara and NP Sutjeska from Republika Srpska. Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and Ministry of Space Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska also took part in this festival. "Uvac" special nature reserve was special guest to the festival! The reserve was represented by Slobodan Ljubojević, manager, Darko Ćirović, legal advisor and Risto Popović, member of assembly. A couple of sports and entertainment competitions were held on the occasion. "Uvac" SNR was especially successful in the "marbles on the beach" discipline taking the second position and the silver medal! They were expected to show more result in card playing and quick beer drinking, but they promised better performance in the next park festival. All participants were pleased and honored to get the chance to acquaint themselves with natural values and beauties of NP Djerdap. The next, tenth park festival will be held in March 2009. The host will be NP Kopaonik. |
